Easy way to clean blinds??

Question

i have blinds in my room and i never really payed attention to cleaning them until now because i noticed there is dust on them but it seems like the dust is not easy to remove.

does anyone know how to clean blinds easily without taking them off the window??

the only way ur gonna get them clean is if u take them down and wash them take them to the car wash hahaha  dont be lazy  its not gonna take that long to take them down and wash them leave them out side till they are dry and then hang them back up

There really isn't an easy way to clean them while they are still hanging. You could try a swiffer duster. Close the blinds both ways and run the swiffer over it but the best way is, Take the blinds off, lay them outside on a flat surface, spray with windex, then use a small hand broom the kind you get with a small dust pan, use that to go over the blind, turn it over and do the same thing. Then rinse them really good, pick up the blind and tilt at an angle to let most of the water drip off, hang them wet with a towel underneath to catch the rest of the water. Should look brand new.  P.S.  I rinse the surface I'm working on first.

If they are vinyl blinds you can take them down and soak them in the bath tub with warm soapy water.Let soak 1/2-1 hours.Place blinds in a bucket and carry outside and hang them over a clothes line or fence and spray them off with a water hose.Let dry and rehang.This can also be done with metal blinds.For wood blinds it is going to be harder.You will have to wipe them by hand with a rag and warm soapy water.
