Easy way to infuse lavender oil?

I want to infuse olive oil with lavender, but I have never done it before. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  1. just add a bunch of the lavender when it is in bloom, into a jar filed with the hot olive oil, leave for a few days, shaking it every so often and enjoy.


  2. add it to the oil seal it for a couple of months but crush the lavender before putting it in the oil to release it's oils.
