  2. If you like Pineapples get the Pineapple cake mix and a can of crushed Pineapples drained really well and if you make a Bundt cake put the pineapples in the middle layer or if you do a regular cake evenly distribute over the top and you can bake the pineapples in the cake save a little bit though for garnish. You can also do the same with Orange cake mix and Mandarin oranges. Use Vanilla or Cream cheese icing and garnish with left over Pineapple or Orange

  3. Go with mama bear. I can remember someone telling me about the frosting too. But my mom said the same thing about increasing the cake mix. Also if you buy the betty crocker frosting or other brand and you don't know if it is quite enough. Fluff it up by using a electric hand mixer or other. It gives you a little more to spread with.

  4. This is the best ever...

Bake the cake as directed on the box...

Let it cool.. Take a wooden spoon and poke holes all throughout the cake.. Pick any type of Jello... Strawberry is the best.. Make the Jello as directed on the box. Then pour all over the cake.. Make sure that you get the Jello in all the holes really good. Put the cake in the Frig to finish letting it cool. Then top with whip cream... It is the best.. Every time I have ever made this cake it does not last that long. It is by far a favorite among young and old.. Hope this is what your looking for...:)

1 Duncan Hines Lemon Cake Mix and fill between the layers with the

2 Tbsp. chocolate bits, roughly chopped

    1/3 cup sugar

  9. My favorite trick it to add a box of instant pudding. Yellow or white cake mix with french vanilla or butterscotch pudding is heavenly. You just add the pudding mix to the cake mix before you add the wet ingredients. You can try chocolate pudding with chocolate cake mix if you're a chocoholic or lemon with lemon for extra flavor and moistness. It's fun to experiment.

You can also add a cup of sour cream (with out the pudding of course) if you fancy. I normally do a white cake with sour cream and a choice of sweet icing to ballance.

And as a simple way to make yellow cake mix taste more home made, mix the cake mix together as directed by the instructions on the box. Except instead of using 1 1/4 cup water, replace 1/4 cup of water for the same amount of Maple Syrup. Bake cake as directed. You can also add a teaspoon of maple syrup to your icing of coice if you like. I love lemon icing and normally mix a teaspoon of lemon extract to that was well.

Hope that helps. Have fun and happy baking! :-)
