Easy win for Skywalker Louie in OWLERTON BOOKMAKERS STANDARD – DUPLICTAED at Sheffield on Jan 31
It was a good day for trainer, E T Parker, whose trainees performed magnificently at Sheffield on Tuesday, January 31.
Skywalker Louie, defeated the rest of the contestants comprehensively to take victory in the OWLERTON BOOKMAKERS STANDARD – DUPLICTAED.
The 500 metre long Grade OR Heat was one of the high profile events of the day.
Skywalker Louie provided a lot entertainment to the crowd, clocking the distance in 29.24 seconds.
Top Honcho’s son out of Synone Starlight, was the favourite one, enjoying the starting price of 4 to 6.
The blue and white dog didn’t let his connections down, securing a comfortable win by 4 ½ lengths.
Ballymackey Ace was the nearest pursuer, with the finishing time of 29.60 seconds.
The black dog had a chance to overtake Parker’s trainee, but failed to make the best use of the opportunity.
He stepped out from the second trap, carrying the winning chances of 6 to 1.
Farloe Hulk, whose starting price was 9 to 4, emerged as the runner-up.
The white and black dog was forced to check and thus, it became a bit tough for him to challenge the top-2.
B. Draper’s trainee, Premier Fantasy’s son out of Farloe Rescue, took 29.84 seconds to bridge the preset distance.
Express Jazz, managed to seal fourth position. He covered the area in 29.90 seconds, three quarters of a length adrift of Farloe Hulk.
With the winning probability of 8 to 1, the black dog, Express Ego’s son out of School Parade, kicked off his act from the fourth trap.
Elwick Ghost, and Farloe Elder, produced nothing special, finishing fifth and sixth, respectively, on the table.
Elwick Ghost was the lowest ranked hound in the Heat, carrying the starting price of 16 to 1.
His covering time was 30.04 seconds. J. E. Hayton’s trainee, who was holding 14 to 1 betting odds, completed the order of finish.
The white and black hound got crowded in the middle, and things became problematic for him. Top Savings’ son out of Tyrur Jade, conceded 30.12 seconds to conclude the event.
Skywalker Louie did justice to his favourite tag, winning the race by a decent margin. There are still a lot of races to come, and he will be a hound to watch out for.
