Eat & then RUN!?

Question

I used to work in a restaurant many years ago and recently I dined out and a group of about 5 people at the table next to us just upped and left without paying the bill. I remember a few 'runners' when I was a waiter. Do you know of or witnessed this behaviour when you dined out and also if you worked in a restaurant? Just curious.

yes I have seen this behavior not only on the waitress side but from the customer side as well. I have reported it to the waitress that was covering the table when they had left and what they looked like , I have seen people acting fidgety while i was dining and called the manager over to let him know they were about to skip out on a check and guess what i was right!! saved them a bunch of head ache, its called the dine and dash by the way.

i remember i ate and then I leff then 2 of my other friends leff and there was only 1 leff and got stuck doing tha dishes

my friend tabatha and i went to a house of pizza with her dad. after eating tabatha and i went in her dads jeep. tabathas dad told us he forgot to pay.

No,  but reminds me of not long ago--was paying for my gas--the gal took off around the counter and ran outside--flagging down a car pulling out---without paying.  Hopefully--that is not one of the things I forget--or ever do.

yeah i did it once. then, i felt bad i had like 12 other people with me. i wanted to go back and pay. so i did, and then it wasnt bad.

but oh well.
