  1. It should be quite easy... there are a lot of buddhists there and while most people don't follow the veggie ideals, there are still those that do. You should be able to find some amazing 'mock meat' places. I found loads in South East Asia and there were even a few buddhist food kitchens where they gave out vegan food for free! Just try and learn how to say key vegetarian phrases like 'Do you have any vegetarian meals?' and 'I'm a vegetarian'. In Japan I would just say I was a buddhist and asked for 'Monks food'. They should understand and respet your wishes if you bring religion into it.

  2. You can't be a vegetarian anywhere in the world.

Do you eat jelly, chips, fish, chicken, butter, milk then you are not a veggie.

    Veggies are mental.

  3. Should be pretty easy as there is a celebration of fruits and vegetables as well as noodles, rice and more in China.

There is a book I just stumbled upon this weekend called Vegan Passport:

    Product Description

This book rules. It basically takes one page of text explaining what vegans eat, don't eat, and why. Then translates it into a million different languages, in their own alphabet. You just smile and point to the page. Perfect for travel or a trip to Chinatown for dinner.

So perhaps that would be helpful to you in being able to get what you want and feel good about what's going to be given to you.

  4. I would think it would be very easy becaue mostly in asia they eat alot of veggies and really don't eat much meat other than fish.

  5. Easy. Chinese cooking has a long tradition of vegetable (more then vegetarian in the Western sense) dishes.

  6. easy. cos most meat on the plate are form the animal who dont eat meat.....
