Question:

Eating after wisdom teeth extraction

I had my wisdom teeth out on Wednesday. It's my bday and I'm craving McD's, and I was wondering if the chicken mcnuggets would be okay to eat or if they are too crunchy and might stick in the holes?

I know it's a silly question, but I'm curious and trying to pass the time.

Thanks! :)

you can get much information in this website, stay a minute in website and check anyone link at a time, you can aslo get your answer in Google Search in this website, which has helped me alot

  2. No matter what you eat it's going to stick in the holes at least that's what my problem was. I chewed a lot with my front teeth which was really weird but I would say if you're comfortable with it go ahead!

  3. I didn't have my wisdom teeth out, but I DID have four regular teeth taken out for braces. Chicken should be fine, but try not to crunch too hard on them or you could poke the sockets. I know the bread they use for the nuggets can be crunchy, so be careful. As long as you are not in any pain or you're not being rough, sure. Make sure you get all the food out, of course, or it could heal over the food and get an infection. Be careful when swishing, also.. you could dislodge the blood clot & then that's a whole nother pain in the butt to deal with. If you're still unsure, call your dentist!

    Edited to add:

Swishing with warm (not too hot!) salt water should be fine. The salt water promotes the healing, I was told by my dentist. I would stay away from anything super crunchy, like chips, or things small enough to get in the socket, like rice, until they are nice and properly healed. Alot of people had the advantage of chewing with their front teeth if they couldn't chew where the wisdom teeth removal/regular teeth removal was done, but I didn't, since I shouldn't be biting into anything with braces.. so if you're comfortable with chewing with the front teeth, go right ahead.

    Good luck & Happy Birthday!
