Eating candy after a workout?

okay so say i have like smarties after a workout ur suppose to get simple carbs and of course id take whey but would candy be a good way of simple carbs or are the fruit or white bread necessary just curious and it's for muscle building

  1. Some people do it some don't.

    I prefer other sources of fast digesting carbs, but I suppose a candy bar would provide you with the necessary simple carbs.


  2. Before you work out, take in a medium glycemic carbohydrate - ie:banana, whole grain rice, oranges, oatmeal,etc.. During your workout your glycogen levels will become depleted ( depending on how hard you workout) so after your wokrout they will be very low. Eat a high glycemic carb( bagel, baked potato, raisens, etc..)  and some protein after your workout. Try to shy away from candy.
