  1. Pizza

    Pasta

    Pane

    Fiorentina

    Gelato

    Caffè

    I'm italian!

  2. Rome= best tiramisu gelato

Florence= Taverna ristorante, outstanding chicken parmeason.

Naples= they put more cheese on pizza in the south so order a margarita pizza w/ ham.

Capri=grilled chicken salad with Tiramisu for dessert

Venice= Lasagna with Ricotta cheese and meat sauce.  Cassatta Cake for dessert !!

Milan= Filet mignon with penne pasta.  Nutella Gelato for dessert.

    Bon appetito!

No one will check your age you will be fine to drink.  Dont get too drunk though and be wise.  Have fun!

  3. I almost always go with the specialties in each area.  Italians pride themselves on their specialties and you rarely go wrong.  This goes for the wines and deserts as well.

  4. ciao I'm italian, well about the dessert I suggest you to try tiramusù,  la bavarese, i cannoli siciliani, profiterol, zuppa inglese, crème caramel, macedonia...and about the drinking age, here we're allowd ti drink after 18 years..but you know..that's italy..and everybody gets drinks here..

    divertiti ciao ciao baci

  5. In Rome, start with a bruschetta. For a pasta try bucatini cacio e pepe, and then saltimbocca alla romana.

In Florence, try the Ribollita (I go there just to get this for lunch sometimes - about 2 hours from my home) and Cinghiale (wild boar). Have vin santo and cantucci for dessert.

Naples - pizza, at another meal impepata di cozze (mussels) for dessert - pastiera napoletana

Capri - I remember some excellent calamari (squid)

Venice - seafood like branzino (sea bass), but watch the prices. Sarde in saor (sardines in vinegar) is a specialty). The restaurant La Zucca is one of my favorites - try the pumpkin flan.

In Milan, you have to try the Risotto Milanese - do not pick off the strands of saffron! I was there with a friend once and two tourists sitting next to us carefully removed all the saffron which is what makes the dish.

If you stop somewhere here in Emilia Romagna, try the tortelli di zucca with burro e salvia (pasta stuffed with pumpkin with a butter and sage sauce), or the tortellini in brodo..

If you're in Mantova try the stracotto di asino e polenta.

Somewhere along the line try a semifreddo or a mascarpone for dessert.

  6. Tours in Italy live to Maranello end Ferrari factory visit to www.ilovemaranello.com bay Maranelviaggi?

  7. We had a tuscan dinner in Florence which was awesome with lots of different pastas etc. In other places it was the usual fare of pastas, pizzas etc

For dessert I would recommend the one thing we ate 2 times daily when we were in Italy....gelato..........all different falvours.
