Eating more calories?

if i were to raise my caloric intake to 2,200 calories, i know i will initially gain some weight but would my metabolism eventaully rise to meet this and stabilize or will i gain weight forever or just at first?

  1. You will gain weight for a certain period of time, depending on your metabolism rate and how many calories you ate before. But sooner or later your body will hit a certain weight to go with the amount of calories you are eating.

    The best way to test this is to weigh yourself at a certain time, and then do it again one week later. If you've gained a pound or two, just keep at 2200 calories. If not, you can either wait another week, or start eating more.
