Right, so i'm 11 stone 2, use to be 16 stone 2, lost 5 stone, i'm still eating about 1200 calories a day, but i'm finding my self more hungry than ever. I'm 16, so I know i'm growing and that, but it's taken me a year to lose this much, and i've been growing all that time. Am I eating enough to lose weight??? I'm doing about 30 mins a day on a cross trainer so excercise isn't the problem. Basically, i'm really hungry all the time, and not losing any more weight. I'm 5ft 9 so I have a bmi of 23, but want to get down to 22.

What do you think?

  1. 1,200 calories A DAY? God. I'm a girl and I eat 2200 calories a day.... I lose weight. (And no, I don't have superfast metabolism)

You should be getting a lot more, never below 1,500. Eating more food is the way to stop hunger issues, duh.

  2. the average calories for a woman is 2000 so stick to that keep the excercise up you shouldn't have a problem - there is no point being hungry all the time remember your active all day between excercise, school, hobbys etc you need the energy to keep going

  3. 30 minutes a day is just ticking over for cardio exercise.

I would seriously consider increasing the volume of your exercise. try increasing it to 45 minutes each session then an hour etc. Progression is an important element of exercise otherwise you just end up going through the motions.

I would also suggest increasing your calorie intake slightly. Don't be scared of doing so. It's a well known fact that if you cut calories too much your body reacts with it's famine protection instincts and slows your metabolism down. That makes it harder to lose weight and the exercise you are doing less effective.

  4. i think that ur body is getting used to ur small calorie amount.

the thing is,you should do more excersise and eat healthily.

u shouldnt cut out calories COMPLETELY

cuz... to be honest, 1200calories is not even enough for a child. not a growing teenager like you

remember to balance ur health and excersise.

  5. You probably are not meant to be thin. Therefore there is no point in starving yourself in a body shape that is not natural to you.

Maybe you can eat more fruits and greens that have few calories in order to keep hunger at bay.

Anyway given that you seem to have a healthy lifestyle and that you are still young and growing I wouldn't worry too much about your weight. Beside many girls like men a bit on the plump side.

Apart from that remember that what is important is to be healthy and strong so try not to starve yourself at all costs to have a certain shape because you could damage yourself irreversibly.

  6. I hate to say it, but you've fallen for some crazed diet plan that has no science behind it.

I want you to read this very carefully because it will change your life and the way you think about food, energy, weight loss, health etc...

Take it or leave it, it's not only proven, but it works 99% of the time for all people.

I challenge anybody to claim otherwise...
