I work in restaurants and you would be really surprised to know that it does not happen.  I have worked restaurants for about 5 years and never seen this happen.  Now I am not to sure about fast food, but your full service restaurants don't seem to have that as a problem.

That is so nasty for people to do.  I have heard that some people when they are angry working in restaurants will spit on the foods of those who are rude when ordering and worst, they use toilet water instead of clean water.  

I heard 2 people talking about it on the bus.  It must be better to make food at home instead of eating in a restaurant.
