  1. I went 3 years ago.  The place is like Blackpool.. A s**+thole. Fish and chips, Sky tv, Karaoke, Bingo, etc.   I wouldn't ever go again

  2. If you go to the sort of place that offer greasy fish and chips for English xenophobes, you get what you came for..just stick to the restaurants and cafes that have plenty of locals or Germans in them..I have no idea why, but German tourists find the best places to eat..and there are some fantastic ones on Crete at very reasonable prices.Best meal I had was Tzatziki with flat bread as a starter and then fillet steak with asparagus and hollandiase sauce..not cheap by any means, but affordable, which it isn't in England.

  3. Take no notice of her above ~its nothing like Blackpool lol.

Its beautiful, its not so cheap...maybe about 7 euros for a main meal in most taverna's, like the Moussaka, or Spag Bol (not the steak of course, more 10-12 Euros)

Meal for 2, with a bottle of wine for £20 though for sure.

Yes, its still a blast the locals sent bottles of retsina over to us on occasions, and we were asked to join their tables.

  4. yes i was there 5 week ago

  5. Yep, but make sure you go to the proper restaurants =]
