Question:

Eating out in London?

I live in Borough, I work near Liverpool St, in Tower 42 ..... I need advice on where to go out and eat on Thursday night. I have stuffy places, I need it to be relaxed .... but then, not crazily expensive like Oxo Tower, but then not ridiculously cheap like TGIs. Obviously nothing like P&P, you know just dinner for two for around £100 that kind of thing

Advice please....

  3. What about the brindisa tapas bar in borough?

  4. I always use http:// www.london-eating.com - good luck

  5. If you like Thai food Busaba Eathai on Wardour Street, Soho is definitely the best place we've found to eat in London. Excellent food and great atmosphere, only potential drawback is that you can't reserve a table but it's worth the wait.

  6. If you like sushi, there is a place as you face Borough Market on the left hand side next to a coffee shop. I can't remember the name.

It certainly won't cost you £100 and i can thoroughly recommend the food, ambience, price and service.

I've been 3 times and each time it gets better and better.

Failing that try http://www.toptable.co.uk where you can get some great deals on expensive resturants and you work it around your budget, location and taste in food.

    Good luck

I live in the Borough too.

I love going out for meals and are willing to travel I would suggest Villa Moura in Blackheath.

I have been out for ALOT of meals and this place is my FAVOURITE.  Its Portugese and the food is AMAZING.

If you don't want to travel to far I would also suggest Shad Thames.  They have a few nice places on the River where I have eaten and the food has been very nice!!

  14. what about coq d'argent at 1 Poletry near Bank. Its a conran restaurant and really fab. i was there last week, 2 bottles of wine, starters and mains for 2 & 2 brandies after and came to £130 . it's a roof top place with great views that's lovely for drinks before dinner too. if that's too much how about the goucho in the west end - delcious streaks!

  15. Try www.squaremeal.co.uk - you can specifiy location, price range, and type of food. The information on each restaurant is also really comprehensive, and incorporates quotes from different people's reviews. No bias either, so if somewhere is generally c**p, that will come out in the review...
