Eb on violin?

This is a stupid question but i haveng played the violin for a year and i can't remember how to play e-flat, can someone tell me please?

  1. In the first position, the lowest E flat is a "low 1" on the D string;  an octave above that is the "low 4" on the A string.

  2. first finger low on the d string (pretty close to the nut) you can also lower your 4th finger a half step on the a string.
