Ebay,Paypal help question?

ok so i am from bulgaria i registered in ebay and paypal with my bulgarian address.

and my credit card is from bulgaria.

the other day i bid for an item and i won they send me an invoice with the item price and the s&h to bulgaria which is $45

(the item isnt that expensive its $15)

but i dont want it to be shiped to bulgaria i want to shipp it to a friend of mine in the usa because its way cheaper.

in the seller's page it says that they dont ship to unconfirmed address(but i didnt notice that when i was bidding!!!!!)

so what do i do now??

in my paypal account it says that i can edit a gift address i wrote my friends address in the usa but the country still stays Bulgaria it wont change to USA.

please help i know its confusing.........

Yaaaa, I completely understand your situation.

I don't know if you're new to ebay, or if you've ever sold on ebay....

There are protections in place for sellers by ONLY accepting paypal CONFIRMED addresses AND shipping to them as well.

If they DON'T accept payment from an unconfirmed address, they could potentially loose the payment you made via paypal.

I know the item isn't that expensive. And I'm sure it doesnt sit well to pay that much for shipping. BUT they are probably including delivery confirmation (which is also requirement of ebay/paypal to prove item was recieved in the event a claim is made). And they may even be including insurance.

Regretfully, I would chalk this one up, and call it a lesson learned.

You may try writing a pleasant letter to the seller, asking if they would be willing to cancel the transaction. Just make sure be NICE. They might be hoping you cancel?? You never know till you ask...And you may be surprised!!

sellers only ship to confirmed addresses to protect themselves, there is nothing wrong with this and you should read the seller's shipping policy and if you have any questions contact them , that way you don't end up with this situation again/
