Okay so I purchased a guitar for $202.25 and the shipping was $60...from Las Vegas, Nevada...to Sacramento, California. If I file a dispute with this guy and he agrees to give me a refund, will i get my full $262.25 back or just the price of the guitar $202.25 without the shipping?....and when I send back the guitar, will I also have to pay for shipping out of my own pocket?...or should he pay for that also?

  1. Sellers can set their own refund policies. Most will only refund the item price, but it is not set in stone. A reputable seller will make that decision based upon the reason for the return. It is very rare for a seller to cover return shipping. If you paid by credit card, you can always dispute the charge if the item was defective. If it was damaged during shipping you would have to file a claim with the shipping co. Hopefully, the $60 shipping fee included insurance. Check the auction page to see if the seller posted their return policy (near the bottom of the page). Good luck.
