  1. The best way to compare like/identical items is to get the best title to search for--You don't say what you are looking for, so it's harder to help.

    So start out with a VERY specific title. If more than 50 items show up, try the ADVANCED search where eBay lets you search BOTH the auction's title and text for the key words you've put in for the search. (Look for the words ADVANCED SEARCH to the right of the search box and click on that.)

    Unfortunately, you can only look back two weeks for specific items. The best thing to do to compare prices is bookmark them--that way they stay in the MY EBAY section for at least two months. If you keep them for a month or so, you can get a good idea of what the item you are looking for is selling for!

    But the BEST way to get a deal is to snipe...But that's another question!
