Ebay. Methods of payments?

Question

Do you need a bankers debit account to purchase of Ebay or can you send a post order from a post office or check because i cant get a debit account because of my low status being unemployed and single

you need a bank accout to join then you can pay any way according to what the seller asks for.

It all depends on the seller's preferences. Some will only accept PayPal, which requires a debit account. Other seller's will allow you to send them money orders, or wire money directly to them.

Seller's choice.  There is an option usually to pay for with money orders or bank cheque.

You can always email the buyer before hand and ask if they would accept a cheque or postal order before you actually win it, if you scroll down to the bottom of the article that you want it usually says that they will accept cheques etc or that they will not.

I am sure if you explain your circumstances to the seller they will allow you to send a postal order.

Are you sure there isnt a bank account you can get? I dont have a good credit rating but I got an account with Halifax. There is no cheque book but it does have a debit card. So long as you are having your benefits paid in to it then I cant see why they would refuse you. Everyone has to start somewhere dont they?

It depends on the seller. Some people take Paypal "which requires a debit card" others accept checks money orders and paypal. So you just have to pray that the person you are buying from accepts checks.

Depends on the seller, some allow money orders, some don't. You could also go to your bank and put money on a Visa card (don't know about UK, but banks in the states do it), and then use it as a credit card. You could also check Amazon.com, I have found them to be more flexible, easier to use, and less expensive than EBay. Good luck!
