Question:

Ebay/Paypal dispute?

Ive taken out a Paypal/ebay resolution dispute on ebay. I have not received an item I bought and the seller has not responded to any of my emails.

I have waited 4 weeks for the item. It only cost £9.45 but am really angry that the seller hasnt replied to any of my emails, and I dont belived they have bothered to post the item.

Are there any charges for using ebay/paypal dispute? Is it worth it considering the item only cost £9.45 altogether.

I would appreciate any advice on this matter.

  1. Not everything is Black and White. The opposite is happening with me.I sold a guy a laptop which i knew he recieved but he denied it and now Paypal are chasing me for the money !! No chance m8 am i gonna pay them,so it shows that dishonesty can work in both directioins in my case.

Best of luck with you problem anyway. It,s very hard to trust anyone these ,don,t you think ? I agree with previous comments, give it your best shot, principal not price !!

  2. had exactly the same issue, Ebay/paypal/seller owe me $24.87. no one ever did anything, they don't care, if they can't access seller's account for funds, you're not getting any pounds sterling back!

  3. It is worth following this up. There are no charges for using the ebay/Paypal dispute system, and even if you do not receive your item or a refund, you can then give the person a negative feedback and perhaps stop the same happening to some other buyers.

  4. It doesn't cost anything but don't forget to escalate your claim or it will just end, I've made this mistake before, you must do this within 20 ays of first making the claim. The seller will have to provide a tracking number to prove they have posted the item. If they can't do this it wil be judged in your favour and you will get a refund but only if you paid through paypal.

  5. contact ebay security & resolutions department.

Payapl also covers any item paid for but never received.

let ebay know that it has been four weeks with no response from the seller.

what was the sellers feedback score?

does the seller have a phone number listed?...try that.

also try eBay live chat..they have representatives who can help you.

  6. opening a dispute on paypal will not cost anything- and it wont cost anything when its resolved either. If i was you i would definitely open a dispute- even though its only a small amount of money, its your money and your entitled to get it back and show bogus ebay users that they cant get away with doing stuff lke this. I opened a dispute because the seller sent me a different item from the one listed and got my money back yesterday, but be warned it will take a while for paypal to decide- but theres nothing you have to do but wait. I hope this helps you and you get your money back x

  7. I would continue with the dispute as there is no charge and you are entitled to your money back. Paypal sort the whole thing out but it can take some time and it is worth checking in on it now and then. I got £96 back for an item not received. It took 4 weeks and the money was returned to my account.

    Good luck

  8. i filed a dispute with paypal over a seller on ebay it was all done very quickly and all monies were returned in full without the seller responding to  the dispute. and it doesnt cost anything just keeping an eye on the dates they give you to continue the dispute otherwise they asume it has been resolved

  9. It is worth pursuing this if the person in question is still a member of eBay, even if it's just to get a black mark against that person's name. If they've left eBay as a member however and they don't respond to the dispute then there's ziltch you can do - that happened to me. Luckily in my case it was a low amount just the same as it is with, so nothing major lost. But I would personally advise you to pursue this like I say, if it's for no other reason than to get a black mark against that person's name.

  10. hi iv also opened a dipute with ebay is not cost me anything. just the £70 i paid for the items i bought like you they have not arrived and seller wont reply to my emails. it doesnt matter how much things cost why should we be out of pocket when there are con men taking our money. they should be reported and made to repay people like us

  11. Go into paypal, select the transaction and click on the link to dispute it.

There are no charges for a paypal dispute as far as I know, last time an item didn't arrive I recieved my money back in full.

Don't close the dispute until you have the item or the refund.

Sellers are responsible for getting the item safely to you, if they sent it trackable (say royal mail recorded signed for) and have proof of delivery the will not lose the claim.  But seeing as you don't have the item

Some sellers recon if the buyer doesn't take out insurance they aren't responsible for lost items.  They get a rude awakening as to their ignorance when a customer files a dispute.
