Question:

Ebay Seller Causing Problems?

by  |  earlier

I recently won a paypal claim on an item that brought off ebay. I paid for the item but never received it.

So I got my refund about a week ago.

And now Ive just logged in to my ebay account and discovered that the seller who I won my claim against for not receiving what I paid for, has filed an unpaid item dispute!

How can this happen?

What can I do about it?

Is there any way to contact ebay directly about this?

  1. i will check it out then add more info.....

read this on taking further action on the seller.

Step 5: You resolve or escalate the dispute.

    You have two options:

My concerns have been resolved. With this option, no action is taken against the seller's account. A closed dispute cannot be re-opened, so please make sure you are entirely satisfied when closing a dispute using this option. For example, if the seller offers you a full refund, don't close the dispute until you've received the full refund.

I feel I have no other option but to report this seller to the eBay Trust and Safety team. When you select this option, our Trust and Safety team is immediately alerted about the transaction. If warranted, the seller's account may be restricted or suspended.

  2. the person is fraud init and he is sending the package to his cousin or sum1 then he is asking you for the money you should message him a tell him you shouldnt do fraud does this help

  3. All you need to do when he files the claim is provide proof you paid, the paypal transaction number or the email confirmation paypal sends when you pay by them. email these to ebay and his claim will be denied!

  4. PayPal is a subsidiary eBay... in other words, eBay owns PayPal. So in fighting the eBay dispute, just refer them to the PayPal case you've already won. You might need to get screenshots of the PayPal page showing that you were refunded the money from the seller. But as long as you show documentation, I don't think you'll have a problem.

    Hope this helps.

  5. They have filed an unpaid item dispute to claim back the charges they received for selling the item. It's what a lot of sellers do in their situation.

  6. eBay sucks and will do anything possible to s***w you.

  7. name and shame him ...........the robbin bas*ard

  8. remind them that yo had a dispute open about not getting the item and send them the info

  9. You know his address, you could hire some bears to go rough him up a bit.

  10. Here's what you do...

    1) Tell the seller to send you the tracking numbers with proof of delivery (POD). Do this in an e-mail and save his e-mails to you.

    2) Get a copy of your receipt that it was paid for (i'm sure you got one) along with a copy of your refund. Note the dates.

    3) Contact e-bay and send them copies of this documentation and tell them to notify the seller to remove the seller dispute and then also advise them to bring about disciplinary action upon the seller for breach of contract.

  11. I agree with all the above..... I shall let you know why they madde an unpaid item dispute.....and I think it is SOO WRONG that they did it.

Ebay have changed the Feedback system and sellers are only allowed to leave neg feedback for buyers who do not pay for an item so I would assume that they are pre-empting your neg feedback which will be removed from the sellers feedback if Ebay agree that you have not paid for the item.

I would send ebay an email outlining your distress and the fact you have rec a refund, point out that the new feedback system is putting pressure on sellers and buyers so there is more unfair sellers popping up. Paypal and Ebay are one and the same and if you can prove you have been refunded they can then take appropriate penalty action against the seller.

    Hope this helps. xx
