My mom has been a seller/buyer on ebay since 2004 and she has made over 600 transactions. NEVER HAD ONE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK EVER!!! She sold a pair of earrings (new mind you) and she has a no refund policy. Well the buyer of the earrings wrote her and told her they were defective and my mom apologized (she's an honest seller) and said she'd return them (even with the no refund policy). The email this woman sent her was extremely paranoid (like if we do this peacefully I won't have to file a claim, yadda yadda). Mom didn't understand her paranoia. Well mom wrote her back and told her it was probably the way they were laying in the box but to go ahead and send them back..the woman filed a claim with paypal!! Mom received the earrings they were PERFECT..nothing was wrong with them..so she called paypal to try and straighten this out, she said "I'll still refund the money, this is the amount she asked for" and they did..the woman left my mom negative feedback saying

  1. Hi Ches,

There should be a spot where she can reply to the feedback that was left. Now and days buyers cant leave negative feedback for buyers, but as long as she can reply to the already negative feedback then that should at least clear up that part.

I agree with the first response too. They might be a competitor trying to ruin her business. Tell her to relax. Most Ebay buyers always look at the feedback and as long as it is 98% I dont think twice about it (I know that isnt the point).

  2. They only way feedback can be removed from Ebay is for both parties to agree to have it removed.  I suggest that your mom sit back and breathe first.  It's only one negative (there isn't a company in the world that doesn't wish they had only one complaint in the last 4 years). Second, have her email the buyer, requesting why lies were stated in the feedback.  If the buyer stays negative, have your mom threaten negative feedback on HER account unless she agrees to have it removed.

Keep in mind, this buyer might be an anonymous competitor trying to ruin the reputation of her competition.
