So i ordered a car charger for my phone from ebay a few weeks ago and it just came the other day. I opened up the package and it was a pair of earphones??? what the h**l? So i sent the seller a message saying that he sent me the wrong item blah blah... and he sends me a message back saying oh just send it back and we'll fix whatever is wrong with it. So i messaged him back saying well i already paid for the charger and paid for you to ship it here and now you want me to pay again to ship it back to you when its your mistake??? Needless to say i haven't heard from them since. What would you guys do??

  1. They should pay you for the shipping, or at least send money back to your PayPal.

How long has it been since you sent him your last message? If it's been more than a few days, I would file a complaint with eBay.

I'm sure you know that whenever you buy or sell there, you're entering into a contract with the buyer. Ebay's the moderator only.

I don't buy anything from eBay anymore, I did many many years ago, only a couple things, and that was it. Some sellers were better than others, but you never knew if you could trust them until the item(s) came.

One small tip, and maybe you already do this, but I always e-mail a seller before I buy something just to see if they respond. If they respond quickly and are courteous enough, then I'm more likely to buy from them. If they don't respond, then no purchase.

Anyway, I hope it all works out. Never buy anything that's very expensive, nor buy anything that you can easily get at a nearby store, even if you do end up paying more. It's more secure that way.

    Good Luck!

  4. Report it to Ebay. There is even an online chat thing that can help you (you can talk to a customer rep that way)
