i keep bidding on items but it always says you've been outbid and ALL of the user names looks the same..

sucha as e***2, e***t and 4***U

Ebay has started hiding the bidders Identities using this system, you are just being outbid on items, if you ever feel , someone is trying to make you bid more, just don&#039;t bid anymore on that item,,

Just me is correct. They used to show the whole name of the winning bidder, but now they do that, I guess to make it more anonymous. I&#039;m not sure the reasoning behind it, but it is not a scam. It took me a while to figure it out too, I was like -- why do all these poeple have these asterisks in their name.

No its not a scam. they started showing bidders names like that to hide their identity. So you are actually getting outbid.
