Ebay accounts with ***?

Question

I always see eBay accounts with three starts in the middle like "l***e" or "e***g" and they place very weird bids and when I look them up in community, it says there are no accounts in that ID. I'm new to eBay; is there something i'm out of the loop about, or am I just thinking too much? Let me know if you've noticed this too.

its setup like that so bidders name are private so you cant see the full user id name
