Ebay and delivery from hong kong taking forever?

im waiting for an item purchased on ebay from hong kong, it states it takes 7-12 days to deliver but as of yet im still waiting at my door every morning but no hope. it was sent on 8th of august and its now the 29th of august.. is this normal and how to i go about sorting this out? Ive checked on hong kong post with th tracking no but it just says sent on 8th august!! not helpful a all! please can anyone help?????

International shipping can be troublesome due to custom.  Depending on how big the item, its value, if it's on a restricted list, etc.

If it's been sent on 8th from Hong Kong, that means it's on the way.  It could be stuck at custom, or at the local delivery company.  You may want to ask HongKong post to track your package.  Or if that fails, ask them the contact numbers of the local company and track it yourself.

Contact the seller and ask them for a status. Either have them send you another item or give you a refund.
