Say if I sell an item for £60 with £10 postage with a Buy It Now price and the buyer pays by PayPal, how much will eBay and PayPal take off me?

Answers would be much appreciated.

  1. its a rip off

  2. Probably all of your profits at least.

I don't deal with them anymore and E-bay owning Paypal seems like double jeopardy to me anyway.

    See http://www.nopaypal.com

  3. a lot, paypal alone will take off about £8-9 for that amount of money, i once sold something for £50, and the amount i got was something like £43.78 or something, as for ebay, well they have a list of the final value fees they charge on their help section,  but basically the more you sell something for the more ebay charge, the same is for paypal, you should use, cheque or postal order when selling large value items, it may take longer for the money to clear but you save a h**l of a lot on fees

  4. Go to ebay.com and pay.pal to see their rates. Ebay charges to list an item and then if it sells, a small percentage of the sale price but not the postage.

PayPal charges a percentage of the amount paid.
