If I don't want to give alot of my personal information over on registering to ebay, can I use the local post office as my address (so that means I can pick-up my package from there; with no need to give over my own adderess)?

  1. You can rent a PO Box.  The only problem with that is that UPS and Fedex cannot deliver to PO Boxes.  But most sellers ship through USPS, anyway.

I am an eBay seller and buyer and I've never had a problem with psycho eBayers in all my 8 years on eBay.  There's nothing to be afraid of.  Just make sure you purchase from reputable sellers who have 98.6% or greater feedback, and always read through the feedback (both left and received) before you make a bid.  And if buying a high-priced item, always pay with a credit card through Paypal.

    Good luck.

  2. The USPS will not allow you to use a post office as your address. You must rent a PO Box.

As the above answerer states UPS and FedEX cannot deliver to a PO BOX.

If you are that afraid of giving out info, I suggest that you buy good at your local stores.

  3. No - most sellers won't even consider sending to a PO box!

And you can't register with Ebay without giving full details - otherwise you stand the chance of being reported for incorrect contact details which is an instant throw off anyhow.
