What should you do if the money you receive is from an unverified account? If they've made the payment and you accept, does it matter whether or not their account if verified?

  1. The difference between verified and unverified is mainly determines how much money a person can spend and withdraw, it doesn't really mean that they are or aren't fraudulent.  The main thing for you to look at is if the shipping address provided is either confirmed or unconfirmed.  If its confirmed, that mean PayPal likely has a credit card on file from the buyer that has a matching billing address to the shipping address.

    I hope this helps!

  2. Ebay utilizes an express PayPal checkout system. If they've made the payment, then it's likely that the person is a new temporary PayPal buyer, who's simply using the express pay to buy with their credit card, rather than going through the process of verifying their bank account; thus, it's likely a legitimate credit card payment.

Besides, even if he didn't have the money, since you've already received the payment, it's PayPal's problem, not yours.

  3. You already have the payment so I don't see this as a big problem. I would email the buyer and ask them to verify the address that the item should be sent. Which should match up with the address you see for them.
