  1. If you did a buy it now there is no way to take back your bid. In that case the only thing you can do is email the seller and if he is nice maybe he will let you off the hook. The problem is he will have to pay the eBay sold item fees so you may want to offer to pay those for him. If you just entered a bid you can retract it but it does show up on your feedback page. It is against eBay policy to retract a bid. If you must though here are the rules and how to do it:

  2. You can cancel it, go into it and retract you bid.....it should ask your reason and you can just put entered the wrong figure.

Hope you figure it out, if not email me and I will explain.

  3. If it is an auction and it hasn't ended yet, you can retract your bid.

If it was a Buy It Now or the auction has already ended, you need to contact the seller and ask him to let you out of the transaction. Otherwise, you might get an Unpaid Item strike and receive negative feedback. From the seller's perspective, its all about time. The sooner you contact him the faster he can get his fees back and find himself a buyer that really wants the item.

  4. If the auction hasn't ended you can retract your bid. If the auction has ended and you haven't paid for it yet then you need to contact the seller and tell them the issue and they can cancel the sale. However, just because a seller "can" cancel a sale doesn't mean he or she has to. If you don't pay for the item, the seller will report you so he or she can get their money back (they're charged a fee) and leave you negative feedback, all of this means you'll have a strike against you, and after three...you're out.

  5. You have to retract your bid.
