On June 26, 2008, i purchused some dvds from an ebay seller. i didnt have no credit card at that time so i sent a money order instead. The two days later i went back on ebay and found out that the user was no longer registered as a user on ebay anymore. I have not recieved my product yet and it has been about 2 weeks now and i have no way of contacting the seller. What should i do now?

  1. money orders????? that is so 1990's

  2. You can file a report with ebay to let them know about it. Don't expect them to do anything about refunding your money, though. Unless you use PayPal you're pretty much at a loss.

And FYI, you can use PayPal if you have a checking or savings account. All you have to do is supply your account information to them and give it a few days to get all your verification stuff handled. It's actually very easy to do and the website walks you through it.

I honestly wouldn't recommend doing any transactions on ebay that were not paid for through PayPal. Reason being that they can track/monitor these transactions to a degree that way. There are built in buyer and seller protections on there which prevents a lot of theft from occuring.

Good luck and sorry to hear about your bad experience.

  3. nothin you can do

    you got BAMBOOZLED

  4. send the information to the office of ebay and explain it all to them first they will direct you  you do have the address you mailed it to right then contact the F B I and tell them the address and have them go by and arrest the scum

  5. Contact ebay.

  6. Since the seller is no longer registered, you can't file a dispute, request their contact number, or anything else through eBay.

There's still a chance you may receive the DVDs.  Sometimes sellers are suspended for things like not paying their eBay fees, but they still send out the items they sold.

I'm sorry to say that if you don't receive the DVDs, there is absolutely nothing you can do to recover your money.  Mailing a money order is pretty much the same as mailing cash.  If it was a significant amount, say over $500.00, you can contact your local police.  Below that amount, they probably won't even take a report.

  7. Contact eBay. I am sure they have some kind of quality control over issues like this. What a creep!

  8. You can try and contact eBay but good luck with that.  Most likely you are going to lose your money. I suggest always using Paypal when you buy on eBay.

  9. Well you should never pay with a moneyorder for starters.

Did you file a complaint to Ebay.  You should still have the sellers ID from the emails when the sale occured, contact Ebay and they will handle contacting the seller.

  10. Well, on ebay there should be a thing about refund ur money, never got the item kinda thing, search 'round for that and then send in a complaint, and if u can remember the name.. and a form should be filled out and then E-bay should give u the money Back :)

  11. You can request seller's information like address and telephone number as long as you were a winning bidder. Then contact the seller and find out what happened.

  12. contact paypal immediately and report your item as not received....they might be able to help you.....

and just keep checking....because sometimes people who are not registered users....become a registered user again....they might just be doing it for a short period of time...

  13. chalk it up to a bad experience buyer beware
