  1. it c**p

  2. Nope.  Neither does the "colored boxes" that's supposed to make your listing stand out.

  3. Wouldnt really make much of a difference.

  4. No, it just screams tacky to me.

  5. Yes it definately turns me off and it looks cheap, plus I am well capable of making up my mind on whether or not to look.

I also feel that if they use a gallery picture and I like what I see I will investigate further, and if they don't have a gallery picture for me to see straight off, I just don't bother to look because, it shows that they are not bother enough to want to draw my attention to their item.

  6. Words in the Title are very important as they are used for search results in the eBay and other search engine results. So if you are say selling a blue pair of shoes, then the title must be stuffed with words (keywords) relating to "blue shoes". And start the Title with "blue shoes" as it more prominent. Using small words in Title like: look, if, but, the, best - are just wasting valuable space. Staying on the theme, I would use:

    Blue Shoes | Ladies | Leather | Size 5

And if you can fit it in alway put the Make, especially if its well known and fashionable like Nike or whatever.

    Hope this helps,

    Kind regards, Steve.

  10. no it looks like 2 eyes looking at you,i put them in my name before, and i took them back off,i thought it looked good at the time,i couldnt do that fancy writing like some do,lol,peAce.

  11. Not really no, more than likely to put me off.

  12. Actually as the opposite affect

  13. No it makes it seem tacky x

  14. The symbol @ means "at" so really your suggestion doesn't make sense, does it?  I suppose you think the double @s look like eyes...well, they don't.

  15. I believe the title makes no difference. I have done advertising many times and was indeed a salesman for many years. Some things about selling: Be honest in the way you describe the item, give a good picture of the item in natural surroundings, be realistic in what you expect for the item, don't start it at a penny when you want a grand !, or set the buy it now too high. Have a sense of humour as if you study the top sellers on eBay that is what they do. Best advice is study how the top sellers on eBay sell their items and learn a few tricks.

    The best of luck.
