Question:

Ebay help - Buyer wants overnight shipping and is giving me run around?

I have worked hard to build my rep on ebay and have 100% feedback. A buyer made a purchase and then after the fact wanted overnight shipping. They purchased with buy it now, so I told them to send money for fedex overnight to my paypal account. They keep changing what they want and she still has not made the additional payment but expects that when she does it will be there by 10:30 am tomorrow which it would be if she hurried and made the payment. I am putting my life on hold for this buyer and her special request and all for no additional fees. I can see this resulting in negative feedback due to her own actions. Can I just cancel the whole thing and refund her money?

  1. Actually, you can cancel a bid on your listing (see link below).  However, I agree with the first answer.  Give the buyer a deadline for payment if they want overnight shipping, or tell them you can't offer that service.  Then offer to give them a refund if they prefer.  This way you are giving them the option of how to proceed, and few people will give you negative feedback for that.

If they do want to cancel, do the following:

    1) Give them a refund through PayPal.

    2) From Myebay, click on "Report an Unpaid Item"

    3) Click on the option to cancel the listing by mutual agreement.

    4) Ebay will send the buyer a message asking him to confirm that he agrees to cancel by mutual agreement.

    5) Your final value fees will be refunded, and neither of you will get a strike from ebay.

    Good luck.

  2. Unfortunately no.

    Dear Buyer,

In order to ship your item by FEDEX today, for arrival tomorrow, I must receive your payment by xx:xx.  If you miss this deadline, the item will have to go out no earlier than tomorrow.  Please advise.
