Ebay help...?

I purchased a cross trainer from ebay 2 weeks ago. I went topick it up (approx 12 miles away) and when I got home and tried to asemble it, I found that there were 5 essential screws missing and the monitor display wouldn't work. I emailed the seller who told me to send it back saying she'll send me the replacement monitor and screws asap. I sent it last Thurs and haven't received anything yet despite emailing her yesterday (she hasn't replied). How long should I wait before filing a complaint? Is there any chance I could get my money back through ebay if it comes down to it?

Thanks

sorry if this is in the wrong category...didn't know where to put it. I could've sworn there was an ebay category...

  1. She who will be obeyed is a seller and buyer of 4 years on E-Bay.....She is telling me you should make the complaint straight away....Good luck...

Also if you paid by Paypal it will increase your chances of a refund under the Buyer Protection Scheme....

  2. You can get your money back if you paid by paypal. Wait a few more days then go into your account, there is a section where you can file an item not recieved. Paypal set up a message service between you and seller then if no luck they will take over and persue it.

  3. hey hun,

as an ebay addict id recommend that you get her phone number first and call her. Also check her feedbck and see when she last left feedback for others and that way you will now if she is ignoring your email or not. Mind to contact her through ebay as some sellers dont check thier emails and only reply through ebay.,..............if u have no joy then if i were u id be straight to her door!

  4. Hopefully you paid with a credit card through PayPal. If you didn't, you don't have too much protection.

I would wait one more day if you haven't heard from the seller, file an "Item Significantly Not As Described" dispute and see what happens.

You can also pull their contact info and try calling them first. It just might take a couple of days for them to take care of the matter.

  5. if you paid through paypal you can get your money  back you will have to file a claim against her, leave her negative feedback and email her again, if she hasnt emailed you within a week, do the claim, or sell the item as parts and spairs and you can get some money from that, good luck.

  6. How did you pay? if you used paypal then go on there and start up a dispute, they email her straight away and if she does not resolve things they will suspend her account not allowing her access to her funds and sellers status. Do keep calm though,i'v furnished an entire house through companies on ebay, and they want good feedback,so you shouldnt have a problem.

  7. you will not get any money back from ebay as you paid cash in hand, personally i would go to thyre house even if it was 100 miles away, filing a dispute will get your money back,go in person its the best way around it,as youve bought face to face,i would suggest best is to go in person,

need to know anything let me know

    tke care.........

forgot to mention call here, you can get hold of her number easily!

  8. Ebay does have a complaint/dispute department for your protection. Go to Ebay and look for it, meanwhile if you paid by paypal or credit card you're covered.
