  1. Refunding can be a tricky situation.  I am not sure.  I think part of it depends on how they paid, what your listing states and so on.  But I know a free forum where you can go to get help about Ebay Policies.  There are quite a few members that are very helpful and have been in business for awhile.

    I hope that helps.

  2. If the item is fully described and all information is disclosed or you state as is then you are not obligated to give them a refund.  If however you didn't disclose flaws or lied about the product then they can demand a refund.  Unless Ebay has a policy that states all postage to be paid back, I don't believe you have to refund this.

  3. i purchased a faulty item and got a refund for the item, the postage and the return postage.why not.it's up to the seller to ensure the item is in order before they put it up for sale unless they state what the problem is

  4. They can demand, doesn't mean they'll get. If they raise a dispute via Paypal, they might get postage back if you couldn't prove it was posted.

If you are selling your old used stuff, you have no vested interest in keeping the customer sweet, so if you don't want to volunteer a refund, dont. If you are in business, or hoping for a repeat purchase from people, then there's a good argument to refund postage from a goodwill perspective.

My stance tends to be "If I misdescribed it, have your postage back. if you just changed your mind, your postage costs are yours". Never had an issue with that approach yet, but I'm a business seller, not a private one, so i have a vested interest in good customer relations.

    All the best

  5. i have just gone through that situation, a buyer reckoned they hadnt received an item(which looking at his feedback he has said quite often), even though i have 100% feedback and have 242 feedback, paypal sided with him,and payed him the full amount including postage, but now i have to make a claim with royal mail, and cant claim for the postage. disgusting,i am a honest buyer and seller, and tried my best to help the buyer, but he was very impatient, and emailed me 4 days after he won the item asking where his item was, wouldnt mind but i am from UK,he was in Australia, this has completely put me off selling on ebay again.from now on,i will only buy off there, too much trouble selling.

  6. they can demand a refund if they never received the items or they were faulty, but not the postage. whats up?

  7. no i dont think soo..

  8. unless you get a nice seller then no dont think you can. i had to return an item and pay for the postage myself

  9. you could allways take advice off of someone called confuesd..... but best not.eh!    ask ebay,s forum
