does any one no if you can use checks for ebay?

and if you cant is it safe to usse checks?

Ebay is safe i buy from there alot i also sell things. No u cant use checks beacuse Many sellers dont like personal checks and also ebay doesnt allow The buyers to use personal checks.

No it is NOT SAFE to send a check. You have NO PROTECTION if your seller is a thief!

Always pay through Paypal and fund the payment with a  Credit Card. That is the only safe way.

If you get scammed, then you call the CC company and file for a chargeback.

Most sellers do not accept personal checks anymore because they tend to bounce.  However, purchasing items on ebay/paypal is very safe and secure with credit cards.  I never had a problem with my credit card info when it comes to ebay/paypal.  On the other hand, as a seller, anyone can search you out and find out what you're selling just by searching for your e-mail address on the site.  Some people don't mind this, but it's the main reason why I don't sell on ebay anymore.  However, buying is safe!

You have to read the seller's TOS to see if they will accept checks, most don't and those that do will usually wait until the check clears before sending your item. It's safer for you to use a check than it is for the seller to accept it. Using a credit card & Pay Pal is the best form of payment, IMHO.
