Ebay purchase again?

hi i have won a playstation 3 for £56 and they want it collected and paid by paypal also on the auction it says it been sold before i bid so should i pay or not?

Collecting it after paying by Paypal is risky. If collecting you should generally pay in cash because if the item is not what you expect when you go to pick it up then you don't have to go through all the hastle of claiming money back from Paypal.

Also, if the Ebay page says it was sold before you bid then you shouldn't have to pay anyway. £56 for a PS3 sounds very suspect to me.

Be weary of the buyer sending you an e-mail and attempting to do the sale off-ebay. Usually this is a scam, and genuine sellers won't mind re-listing the item for you to bid again.

Have you received an e-mail notifying you that you have bought the item?  If you have, then you have to pay for it.  If you did not receive an e-mail saying that you won the auction, then you don't pay.  Contact the seller through the ebay site and ask if you won the auction.  Best of luck with it.

Did e-bay notify you of the win, or are you just getting an e-mail from the seller? I'd contact e-bay with the question.

If you have to collect it then I would pay then. Also I would take the chance to see it working. £56 does seem cheap. If it was sold before why was it returned. See if you can track it on the sellers history.

Never pay for anything on Ebay if you are not sure, check with the seller to see just what has happened and watch out for PayPal, they are cheaters in all ways.

There are a lot of scams on ebay. I refuse to purchase anything on ebay because of this.

ebay have great customer service people you can contact who will be ableto tell you exactly what to do.have you sent the seller a message to their ebay account asking what 's going on? Also has the seller got a good rep if they a power seller they gonna bend over backwards to help as this is their livelihood and will not want to lose their status with ebay

There has got to be something wrong if it's only £56, I would be suspicious.

I won one last year and paid £165, when it came it was an American version and would not play back on my TV, so had to return it, but did get refund eventually.

Be very wary of offers like this.
