  1. Hello, I just have to say that the only way you can see the bids which the items are still going on is to voliate their policies which is incorrect. Even though it will not affect your account. The way to do this is to bid a very high price which is obiviously over priced, then click into the no. of bids (eg, 15 bids) then you will see all the bidder's bids. Then on the bottom of the page, just click on the retract bid and continue choosing the option to retract your bid and you will come to a page where you will need to add the item number + reason (normally: entered wrong bid). Then this is done, you are out of the bidding list, but you will be shown on the bottom of the bidding history. And on your status (feedback page). But for all sellers they know what you are trying to do. I don't think it has any affect on your account, but if you keep doing this, eBay will soon find out i think.

So, would suggest not to do it. Rather is to ask the seller, at what price he/she is willing to sell the item for. Some will give you a price and to get the auction, some will just want to let it continue.

Finally, you can't look at the bidder's bid price in any other way.

Hope I have answered your questions and possibly, offer me a "best answer"...as I think this is the best I can explain it to.

  2. Only by bidding until you outbid them.

  3. After the auction has ended.

  4. You cant. I have tried, there is no way.

  5. I have heard friends say they bid something like $4000 if the bidding is at $40 and then retract the bid giving reason being wrong amount entered. Then re do the bid at the higher amount needed to win.

However the pitfalls i think with this are the other bidders may increase their maximum bid during this time. Also ebay would have rules about doing this regularly. It may even be breaking their policy etc.

  6. Yes, it tells you at the end of the auction.

Just view the listing after it has ended.

  7. No. You'll discover that only by outbidding them.
