Ebay question. I need some help.?

I went on ebay and bid on a 300 dollar dirt bike. My dad told me I bid to high on something that ends in 20 hours. My dad is so mad what should I do?

What i do when bidding on Ebay is wait until close to the end of the auction, like less than 5 minutes and then place the smallest bid i can that will still allow me to win and keep doing that up to the very end of the auction.

It works like this. You bid 400 and the bike is at 300, your bid is 300.

Another bidder bids 350 and is automatically outbid by you, but your bid is now 350. They bid 450, and you are outbid. But if you bid 400, and it sells for 300, you pay 300.

say if your item was only 50 dollars and you bid 300 then it would only go up to like 55$ then if someone outbid you for like 60 then your account would automatically bid up to like 65 or 70 so it doesnt just bid straight to the 300, thats just your max bid

Also, in the future only place a bid right at the end of an auction.  Otherwise you may be caught up in a bidding war.  Also, don't bid even amounts.  If you think something is worth $300.00, bid 300.06 in case someone else bids 300 ahead of you.



You can contact the seller and ask that he allow your bid to be retracted.  Explain that you are only 12 and are new to eBay and made a mistake bidding so high.  If the seller refuses, contact eBay.

if U want it so much, just buy it @ $300. If ur outbid hen look for another dirt bike.

Take a look at this link. It is EBays policy for retracting bids. Click on the link in that page that says Bid Retraction Form. Follow the instructions in that to retract a bid.

contact ebay about cancelling your bid.

if its ur account no prob. if its ur dads then he may be responsible for paying if you win.
