Question:

Ebay question dealing with international customers???

I always provide free shipping (within the US) on any items that I sell and have never dealt with international shipping/customers before. If someone from Canada wants to bid, how do I go about charging them for shipping? How do I bill them after the fact with Paypal since I did not set a shipping price? Could I just tell them that I do not deal with international customers? I guess normally I could "revise" the auction, but it already has bidders, so I can't do that? Not sure how to handle it...but it sounds complicated to deal with between insurance and customs forms, etc. The item is very inexpensive (10.00)...do I have the option of telling them that I do not ship internationally or do I have to let them bid on it?? What would be the best way to handle this situation? Thanks!

  1. Yes you set in your listings that you only sell to USA buyers. We have found the headaches that come with the out of country buyers are not worth the time and effort. You will want to set your seller preferences to block out of country bidders. Be careful and check all sold items, we have had some sneak through the system.
