  1. click "help", then type in "cancel bid" it will then take you to the "bid retraction" page.  You have to sign in.

You just need to know the item number.  For the reason, select "entered wrong amount"

If the auction ends in less than 12 hours, you might be screwed, or you'll have to ask the seller to cancel your bid for you.

If the auction ends in more than 12 hours, the link above should work fine.

  2. As a bidder you can go into the help menu and type in cancel bid in the search bar. Technically, you are not supposed to cancel your bid. I think you can do it twice, without penalty..and after that, they will eventaully boot you from the site. There are only a couple of situations where you can cancel.

    1. fraud..someone hijacked your account

    2. you entered the wrong amount (like 100.00 instead of 10.00)

If you are the seller, you can do it easily as well. Same thing..go to help and type in cancel bidders and it will guide you through the steps. As a seller you can cancel a bid anytime except (I think this is right..doublecheck me) within like 12 hours of the auction's close.
