Question:

Ebay question reply asap?

I've recently brought a mobile phone from eBay, however the only reason I did was because the main one I wanted was too expensive. I now see it re-listed at a much cheaper price and want to cancel the order I have just made! (Haven't paid yet) and I want to do it pretty soon because I'm quite tired! This is a birthday present by the way, so I really do want the other phone.

[By the way the one I don't want is the S500i - this is also because people say the keys always crack)

Basically, how do I cancel an order on eBay? I haven't paid for the item yet.

  1. You can ask the seller if he's willing to allow you to cancel your purchase. If not, you're going to be reported as a non paying bidder.

This is part of the reason I require immediate payment when someone uses the buy it now option- to avoid people that would  do that.

  2. you cant unless the seller agrees tell it the same thing you told me and tell it were to look if it still wants its money than just start a new acount! youll have to create a new email though

  3. If I were you I'd email the seller and tell him/her EXACTLY what you posted here.  If the seller has a high feedback score, chances are he/she is a nice person and they may just be sensitive to your predicament.  Be very polite in your email  and make sure you don't kissass the seller.  That might turn them off.  Just be honest.

If worst comes to worst, the seller will deny your request and you'll be forced to buy it or you'll be marked as a non paying bidder as the other person mentioned.  Once you get the thing you can re-sell it on eBay for hopefully a higher price or for the same price to get your money back or more.  Try not to impulsively buy things on eBay like this, sometimes it's just best to wait out what you're looking for.  This is eBay, they'll get what you want eventually.

    Good luck!

  4. Only the seller can let you out of the purchase, so contact them immediately and see what they have to say, make sure you really want the item you are trying to buy and don't settle for something else unless you are sure that is what you want..
