Ebay retraction?

Question

someone won an item on my ebay, received an email to say it had been retracted so put it on second chance auction. the second person wants the item but now the first one has come back to say he didn't retract his bid and wants the item too. What do i do as i don't want negative feedback. I have emailed the second person explaining the situation but he wants it too.

give it to the 2nd guy... if you got an email then he did retract it even if he says he didn't

Okay, if you received an email from ebay saying the bid has been retracted then it must have been. If you click on the bid history on your item description it should state at the bottom of the page any retractions that have been made. If 1st bidder did retract then he should not be given the opportunity to buy. Hope this helps!
