Question:

Ebay return for a product...shipping costs?

Ok, i sold a CLEP study guide to this customer for $15 (5$ shipping); and is perfectly readable except that a few pages are duck taped for my bookmarking purposes.

According to my description about the book, I said it was used, but didn't mention anything about duc tape being on the pages (

For some reason, my customer can't use the book, and now she wants the full refund of $15...she won't take a $10 refund....meaning, I lose money doing this.

My return policy clearly states that buyer pays shipping, but she wants me to refund her shipping. Should I refund her the shipping also, or should i just refund the price of the book, since my policy CLEARLY states that buyer pays shipping, despite my lack of description on the book?

  1. well you will obviously have to pay the shipping  cause you din't give a full description of item also because she has to ship the item back to you.what you can do if you don't need the study guide any more is tell her keep it and you will refund only the cost of the book,no shipping and explain why the shipping is non-refundable.thats the best you can do other wise you will be forced to pay a whole refund.

  2. Your both wrong here, you didn't give her a full description of what was wrong with the book and she is carping about shipping.  Tell her to re-read your return policy and if she wants her money back she needs to return the item back in same condition and that is what she gets less shipping.

I hope that woman is not in Florida I had nothing but complaints from that state when I used to sell items. They are one of the reasons I don't sell on Ebay anymore. I use local want ads.
