I'm new to selling on ebay, but i need some extra cash and i want to sell my psp. My question is, i am 17 years old and while im registering now its saying you have to be 18 to sell. Now if i just changed my date of birth by one year, could i get into trouble? Will they find out? Or will it be okay?

  1. You will be ok, Its just dont mess anyone up or scam them and you should be just fine! Go ahead have at it. Happy Selling! ps. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!! =}

  2. They won't check it, they are just looking to cover their own backsides by not allowing under 18 year olds to participate because you can't sign a contract and make it legal.

    If you want to have a verified account that can get more sticky, as in if they want to have a bank account or credit card to verify. They may not allow you to sell until you have a verified account, but nothing stops you from giving it a try. You could always have your parents ok a site for you under their names, well it would basically just be their site they would let you use if they trust you to do it.

    It's easy enough to try, don't trust any of these punks who come around and say they did it. Most of them are talking stuff so their answer looks better, and they don't know what they are talking about. I hate that.

  3. yeah i did that when i set up my ebay account a couple of years ago and its always been fine!

  4. realistically as long as you take it seriously and dont s***w anyone over I dont see how they would find out, you have to have a credit card to sell though now so if someone is letting you use there card ask them if you can use there info also to set up the account. Good Luck!
