Question:

Ebay selling and shipping question?

I am looking to start to sell more items on ebay on a more serious level.

Is there a site that could tell me exactly how much it would cost to ship something? I never know what to put for the shipping cost and some times I under estimate.

  1. dude sorry for not answering. But check this

    out.

  2. eBay has a built in shipping calculator.  Just weigh the item in a box, and put 'calculated weight' not just a flat shipping charge before you list the item..

  3. Hello,

Great post.  The most important part of business is advertising.  This makes or breaks a business.  Some of the best ways to advertise I've found are:

    1.  Offline promoting (business cards, flyers, newspaper and other print advertising).

    2.  Online promoting (buying banner ads, forum posts, email auto replies).

The best method that's worked for me so far is handing out business cards.  I don't do this in the usual way.... I buy them in bulk from a place online (they give the cards for free, I just  paid shipping and handling...they also give a really nice free business card holder, it looks impressive).  They're really high quality.  I just put all of the info about my business on the cards, and I hand them out on cars at bus stations, malls, etc.  It's worked out really, really well for me, and it's completely inexpensive =)

    Good Luck with your business!

  4. If you open a USPS or FedEx or UPS account, you buy your own scale and print your own shipping labels.

Online prices are always inflated because when you go to the store, they always quote you something else.

From experience, the longer you sell and the more items you sell, you'll just know what each would cost to ship.

As for your shipping question, just use USPS.com as another person suggested. You just enter the weight of the item. i usually pick a zip code as far away from me as possible to get the worst case scenario.

  6. Get your weight and measurments then go here:

    Piece of cake.  :)
