  1. I haven't tried it but keep in mind eBay is raising all there fees on Feb 20.  There final value fee will now be 8.75% thats a big chunk of your money.  Ask on one of the eBay discussion boards they will help you alot.

  2. I know several people who make a living off of selling things on eBay, you just have to know what you're doing, and get good at it.

What that entails, I'm not too sure.

  3. Yes, definetly! Just buy a bunch of stuff really cheap then sell it, still cheap but not as cheap so that more people buy.

  4. umm good idea maybe it s worth a try  u either get rich or go bankrupt

  5. I am doing one now.  An eBay store is like any other business - you must work your tail off to get it up and running.  80% of all business start-ups fail in the first year.

The good thing about an eBay business is you can start it from home and have a low overhead.  Get some books and study from someone that has suceeded.

It also helps if you have a specialty.  Why will someone go back to your sight time and time again?

    Good luck!

Genius@Work - you must be doing something wrong, eBay takes nowhere near that in fees.  Today for example is a $.20 listing day.  It depends on how you list your items and if you place a reserve on them, etc...  The buyer pays the shipping, so what is the problem?  The reason millions of people list here is that it isn't a bad deal.

  6. Ive heard it's getting difficult to do because they raised their % & shipping is so exspensive.

  7. It all depends on what your selling, and how much you are selling your items for.

  8. I would think of Ebay lessons ...I am still trying to figure out the whole ebay thing..I wish someone gave first hand does and don't for the place...GOOD LUCK ! i would probably shop there but I would have NO clue how you would opperate it unless you just help people like me find things they want...

  9. It can be. Try selling things individually first, and see how it goes. The competition can be tough, and there are no guarantees. It helps to sell something that you know about and like, and something that isn't too commonly found (supply vs. demand, you know).

  10. Start out by just selling a few things and see for yourself.  It's only profitable if you have space for lots of inventory.  Look at others' stores.

  11. eBay takes more than 66% of your profits. You must have a product that you didn't pay for and sell it. If you buy an item, and sell it and eBay fees, you make change! Plus there is monthly charge for the eBay store. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT!
