I asked the above and telling from answers, its not female enough. What makes a name gender based and how could a name like Ebone' become more female like?

  1. Wouldn't it suck to have a name that is supposed to have an "accent acute" over the "e," but due to most people's inability to render foreign characters on Web applications, have to resort to sticking an apostrophe at the end?

  2. So many names you see now are becoming genderless. I'm not sure whether this is a good thing or not. I find names that end in 'ette' sound the most feminine.

    E.g.

    Juliette

    Charlotte/Charlette

    Antoinette

  3. It sounds like the headliner at a strip club.  Anyone who saddles an innocent child with a name like that should be worried more about the fact that the name sounds like a hooker's name than it not sounding feminine enough.

  4. yes it is a female name. I know a lady whose name is ebonee
