Uh, no you could order the optional carburetor to allow the model T to run on ethanol, and he experimented with a car of resin stiffened hemp fiber, he even made plastic from soy beans. And no the first Model T wasn’t made from hemp the "hemp" car wasn't shown until 1941 the model T was built from 1908 through 1927, so the Model T was long gone when the "hemp" car was shown.

  5. Much Cheaper fuels (if any) and environment friendly.

  6. The only things we get in the mainstream media is what they want us to know.

  7. Well, the world is warming up and the oil is running out. The oil thing is starting to get pretty serious now - it's been mainstream in the media for several months.

  8. The more we drive cars made the way they are now, the more carbon and other greenhouse gasses get dumped into the atmosphere.

The gas we are currently using to power those vehicles is non-renewable. There is a finite supply. Cars that generate their own fuel (like hybrids half the time) or use renewable fuel (like a diesel converted to use vegetable oil), reduce our footprint on the planet.

    Hope it helps.

  9. Did you know the plastic on Henry Ford's first Model-T's were made from Hemp, and the car was also designed to run on fuel made from hemp? I know this doesn't answer your question, but that's as eco-friendly as you can get.

Edit: Thanks for setting me straight Richard. I don't allow my ego to control me, so I'm very grateful you pointed me in the right direction in my never ending quest for truth.

  10. Less pollution means less air problems, especially for Chicago, LA, and those types of place where you can see the air.

Cars that use less fuel or electricity are always cheaper to drive.

  11. Here's two -  Clean and Cheap.

"French engineer Guy Negre has designed a car that runs on compressed air, produces no emissions on short trips, and can be refueled in three minutes flat.

Called the OneCAT (CAT stands for compressed air technology), the new compressed-air powered car is a lightweight five-seat vehicle that is expected to sell for about $5,000 when it hits the market. With the backing of Tata Motors, which just last month introduced the world’s cheapest car—the $2,500 Tata Nano subcompact—Negre plans to start selling the first models in India within a year. "
