If a planet has alot of carbon dioxide (such as Venus), will that planet be more likely to get the greenhouse effect?

  1. Carbon dioxide contributes to the greenhouse effect.  It is not anywhere near as bad as methane, for example.

  2. Venus already has higher temperature due to presence of carbon dioxide. However as the amount of carbon dioxide is stable in its atmosphere is stable. it will not face any change but in case of earth, amount of greenhouse gases is changing resulting in change of climate.
